OK we are proud to go fibre and gaga about 3G - but is it of any use when the network is not there! better 1G and stable connection.
Ati safaricon said 25m for it. baah!

Only safaricom has fully implemented 3G with alot of dissappointment to the consumer in terms of poor service and at bad speeds. But with 2cables in their possesion,am sure they can deliver good speeds if only they boosted the equipment at their BTS's.

Orange is also gearing up for this 3G share too only that they want the 25m reduced but its business here..safaricom paid for it so why cant the rest do so?

yea, they should behave their technology then, neither should they be allowed to hold kenyans at ransom.
gava should reduce the fees to fifteen pay off 10m to safcom collect from zee, yu and orange - and pocket the rest. and let kenya sure!

Not putting down Safaricom or anything,
but i think anyone talking about 3G is doing wishful thinking..

The only place I can imagine it happening is only the cities. (Hardly)
That means Cell Phone Towers like every other several miles..
and those have to be souped up to give out a certain reception.

If your broadband back at home or business takes you more than ten minutes to download a single mp3 song or a 10minute Yutube Video, then its going to be hard to have a reception 3G on your celly to be browsing or conduct business thru your phone..
Charity begins at home..
